PART #1
1. It’s time to talk about politics
2. The structure of the government is created by the Constitution.
3. The legislative branch includes the Senate and the House of Representatives.
4. Senators and representatives propose bills, and if the president signs the bills, they become law.

PART #2
6. The second part of the government in the Constitution is the Executive Branch.
7. The president works with the cabinet, made up of secretaries of the various departments; this includes the Secretary of State and the Attorney General, among others.
8. The president executes the laws, and is the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, overseeing the military.
9. In the next election, we will see who will be our next Chief Executive.

10. There is an election coming soon.
11. We will elect the president.
12. The candidates begin the campaign for the presidency in the primaries and the caucuses in each state. As you win, you are awarded delegates.
13. The nominees from each party will be officially chosen at the conventions.
14. On Election Day, you can’t just win the popular vote; you have to win at least 270 votes in the Electoral College. Then in January, it’s your inauguration.
